Rotary started with the vision of one man — Paul Harris. The Chicago attorney formed the Rotary Club of Chicago on 23 February 1905, so professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Over time, Rotary's reach extended to humanitarian service worldwide.
The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Cotton City (Rotary ID: 80414) came into existence on 24th September 2008. Sponsored by Rotary Club of Coimbatore Metropolis, PDG Rtn. Rajkumar, and led by Rtn. Kamal Kankani as Club President and Rtn. MPHF. Gopal S. Sharma as Club Secretary. We started with a community of 31 charter members.
Meetings are held every Monday at 7:00 PM in Coimbatore.
We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Created in 1932 by Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor — a nonpartisan ethical guide for Rotarians. Translated into 100+ languages and recited at club meetings:
